Julien Pacaud | negative-numbers (France) - Diamond Sea / Violet’s Pet

Julien Pacaud is a french illustrator, currently living in Le Mans, France. Before becoming an illustrator, he was, by turns : an astrophysician, an international snooker player, a hypnotist and an esperanto teacher. “I hope i can someday have enough free time to devote myself to my real passion: time travel.” (cf. artist’s bio) You can find more Julien’s work on his website and what inspire him on his Tumblr. //when i was in cornwall over easter, i was messing around with overexposure at polzeath.  i used a telephoto lens so i could take photos of people from a distance so they were in a natural state. people loose themselves at the sea, standing on the edge of the sand looking at the horizon people become happier, they play, they reflect, they let go.  i deliberately over exposed the images to get a dreamy effect, i wanted the images to look dreamy, almost like a watercolour//
